KAYAK COURSE (2 Days)
Passionate for adventure sports? Enjoy the Exciting World of Kayaking
Sacred Explorations offers the perfect opportunity to learn this fantastic sport from a beginner's perspective
Kayaking is one of the best ways to escape everyday life and enjoy some of natures hidden gems, often inaccessible by foot. The Ganga offers a perfect environment of easy rapids and flat water to practice your newly-learned skills.
Whether you're looking for an introduction to paddling, a relaxing scenic tour or a multiday adventure, Sacred Explorations has a kayaking activity to suit your interests. Join us at the ganga (Rishikesh) weekend trip. Take your whitewater adventure to the next levels with our kayak instructions. Get into the driving seat, and experience the challenge of whitewater kayaking.
The plan would include theory sessions on whitewater kayaking and lot of river practice.
We will start off on flat water, looking at basic skills such as moving your boat forwards and backwards, moving sideways, turning around and developing balance, before progressing onto white water, where you will learn how to transfer your new and existing skills to allow you to enter and exit out of the flow (breaking in and out), move the boat across the flow (ferry-gliding), run small rapids and more. This is a great intro to white water paddling and we promise you will want to come back and do more the next day.
The Second Day Is About A Taste Of River Skil, it's off to the Ganga River to practice beginner kayaking skills on a relatively short section of Class I and II whitewater. Here you'll focus on eddy turns, peel-outs, ferrying, and rudering.
Use of independent kayaking equipment ( kayak, spray deck, wet suit, paddle, helmet, PFD ), instructions, river guides for safety/rescue support, local transportation as per needed, all necessary rescue and first aid equipment.
